Nan Highway District 2 is responsible for controlling, constructing, rehabilitating, and maintaining highways within its jurisdiction for the benefit of national development in transportation, economics, education, governance, and national defense. This is done while considering economic benefits and national security, as well as providing convenience, speed, and safety for highway users. Furthermore, it ensures that highways are constructed in accordance with the Highway Act of 1992 and the Highway Act of 2006 (Volume 2).
Nan Highway District 2 is responsible for a total road length of 533.869 kilometers, divided into:
- Concrete pavement: 5.693 kilometers
- Asphalt pavement: 521.535 kilometers
- Gravel pavement: 6.641 kilometers
WORKLOAD = 1,908 units
Nan Highway District 2 prioritizes safety for road users and therefore implements safety measures as a top priority. These include addressing hazardous areas, installing warning signs, designating dangerous curves, and ensuring the completeness of traffic signs at intersections. Install additional reflective markers at U-turn points, bridges, concrete walls, bridge guardrails, and traffic signs to ensure high visibility.
